The Edmonton Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Canada has honoured former Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Pyne, with a Citation of Honour in recognition of his leadership, patriotism, and contributions to national development in Ghana.
The citation was presented during Mr. Pyne’s visit to the chapter in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on 16 May 2026.
According to the citation, the honour was conferred in appreciation of Mr. Pyne’s “exemplary leadership, steadfast patriotism, and meritorious contributions to democratic governance and national development in the Republic of Ghana.”
The Edmonton Chapter also praised the former Mayor of Kumasi for what it described as his “outstanding administrative acumen, developmental foresight, and public service integrity” during his tenure as Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
