The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) said several communities in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Tema and Volta operational areas will experience planned power outages on Tuesday as the utility undertakes maintenance works aimed at improving electricity supply reliability.
In a notice, ECG said the scheduled interruptions form part of ongoing maintenance exercises on its distribution network.
In the Accra East Region, power supply will be interrupted from 0900 GMT to 1700 GMT in Lakeside Communities 7, 8 and 9, New Legon, A&C Mall, AH Hotel, East Airport International School and nearby areas.
A separate maintenance exercise in the Accra West Region will affect Oduman, Manhean, Odawna and surrounding communities during the same period.
The Ashanti Region is expected to record the largest number of outages, with multiple maintenance works scheduled between 0900 GMT and 1700 GMT.
Areas affected include Akrofuom, Wiamase, Kokotenten, Aduaneyede and nearby communities. Other locations scheduled for outages are Atonsu, Gyinyase, Ahinsan Estates, Kotei and Chirapatre.
Additional interruptions are expected in Daban, Apraman, parts of Sokoban, Wood Village, Asaago, Oti Kuwait Estate, Verna, BOST, Atomsu Bokro, Dompoase, Monaco, Everpure, Anyinam, A1 Hospital, Kokoben Newsite, Champion Hotel, parts of Santasi, Fankyenebra and adjoining areas.
ECG also said Osam, Kyekyewere, Kwapia and surrounding communities will be affected by maintenance works during the same period.
In the Tema Region, power supply will be interrupted from 1000 GMT to 1600 GMT in Lebanon Zones 3 and 4, Zenu, New York, Aviation, Lashibi, Klagon, Community 19 Annex, Tsopoli, Shilo, Agortor, Nana Farms, Lutah and neighbouring areas.
ECG apologised for the inconvenience and said the maintenance works are intended to enhance service delivery and improve the reliability of power supply.
