Chairman Wontumi Announces Campaign Team for NPP National Chairman Race

A 35-member campaign team supporting the bid of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi, for the New Patriotic Party’s national chairmanship position has officially been unveiled ahead of the party’s internal elections.

The campaign structure, titled “Chairman Wontumi Outdoors Campaign Team for NPP National Chairmanship Bid,” highlights appointments across several areas including political affairs, communications, welfare, electoral affairs, security, and grassroots mobilisation.

In a statement signed by Bernard Antwi-Boasiako on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh was named Campaign Chairman, while George Oduro was appointed Campaign Manager.

Archibald Cobbinah will head Field Operations and Delegates Mobilisation, with Andy Owusu overseeing campaign operations covering finance, logistics, and programmes.

The political affairs team includes Moses Anim, Sarah Adwoa Safo, and Stephen Amoah.

Ewuradjoa Coleman has been tasked with media and communications duties, while the spokespersons team comprises David Boakye, Akua Afriyie, Pope Yao Yevoo, and Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah.

Justina Marigold Assan, Kofi Ofosu Boateng, and Mohammed Issah were named as aides, with Dennis Okyere Danso serving as administrator.

The campaign also introduced a professional advisory team made up of Dr. Dennis Addo and Lawyer Kwame Adom-Appiah.

For external affairs, Dr. Kwasi A. Acheampong and Henry Quashie were selected.

Ernest Frimpong, popularly called Costaro, was appointed National TESCON Coordinator, assisted by Kwabena Owusu Junior for the Middle Belt, Robert Akayim Awasina for the Northern Belt, and Gifty Afriyie Afrifa for the Coastal Belt.

Nana Ama Ampomaa and Felicia Tettey will lead women’s mobilisation efforts, while Marilyn Yeboah, Bright Nyampong, and Janet Bibii Bashir are in charge of welfare.

George Mireku Duker, Michael Kofi Boahen, and John N. Asare Bediako will oversee electoral affairs.

The Special Operations and Security team includes Nana Fianko, Nana Poku Frefre, and Kwame Owusu.

The unveiling of the campaign structure is expected to heighten political activity within the governing NPP as contenders prepare for the party’s internal elections.
