The Edmonton Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Canada has pledged its support for former Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Pyne, in his bid to contest for the position of National First Vice Chairman of the party.
The declaration of support was made during Hon. Pyne’s visit to the chapter in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where members commended his leadership qualities, commitment to party development, and contributions to governance and grassroots mobilisation.
According to the chapter executives, Hon. Pyne possesses the experience, dedication, and strategic leadership needed to help reposition and strengthen the NPP ahead of future political contests.
Members of the chapter described the former Kumasi Mayor as a loyal and hardworking party stalwart whose years of service to the NPP and public administration have earned him credibility within the party rank and file.
They noted that his tenure as Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) demonstrated strong administrative competence and commitment to development, qualities they believe would be valuable at the national executive level of the party.
The Edmonton Chapter further assured Hon. Pyne of its readiness to campaign and mobilise support among party faithful within the diaspora to advance his candidature when nominations are officially opened.
Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Samuel Pyne expressed gratitude to the chapter for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to continue serving the party with commitment and integrity.
He stressed the need for unity within the NPP and called on party members both home and abroad to work collectively towards strengthening the party’s structures and reconnecting with the grassroots.
