An Accra Family Court has heard arguments in an application seeking to restrict Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage (Hajia4Reall) from interacting with the children of businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye and his estranged wife, Joana Quaye, as part of ongoing divorce proceedings.
The motion was moved during a hearing on maintenance orders pending appeal in the divorce case between the former couple. The applicant is seeking an order limiting the children’s contact with Hajia4Reall and reducing the respondent’s access periods.
In support of the request, the applicant presented video evidence and referenced Hajia4Reall’s previous incarceration, arguing that her association with the children may not serve their best interests.
Court documents also raised concerns about the welfare and supervision of one of the children, alleging that the child’s social media activity had been negatively influenced while in the respondent’s care.
Counsel for the respondent opposed the application, arguing that any order restricting contact would directly affect Hajia4Reall, who is not a party to the proceedings and has not been given an opportunity to be heard.
The court adjourned the matter to June 26, 2026, when it is expected to review the video evidence, hear further submissions, and consider the pending motion.
The case forms part of a broader and closely watched divorce dispute involving the Quaye family, with the court expected to make further determinations after reviewing evidence from both sides.
